These terms cover this website and the Address Verifier app for Shopify. Installing or using the app means you accept them. Questions: contact@address-verifier.com.
The service
Address Verifier checks customer shipping addresses against carrier data, suggests corrections, and blocks addresses that match rules you configure. It's designed to fail open: if our service is unreachable, orders go through unvalidated rather than blocked. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
What validation can and cannot promise
Address validation is probabilistic, not a guarantee. Carrier databases lag reality: a result can flag a deliverable address or pass an undeliverable one. Results are guidance for your fulfillment decisions, and those decisions stay yours: ship, hold the order, or contact the customer. We're not responsible for the outcome of a shipment.
Billing
Charges run through Shopify's billing system and appear on your Shopify invoice. On the per-order plan you're charged once per order, no matter how many times the address is re-checked. If you believe a charge is wrong, email us within 30 days of the invoice with the order reference and we'll sort it out.
Acceptable use
Use the app for validating addresses on your own store's orders. Don't probe, overload, or resell the service, and don't feed it data you have no right to process.
Warranty and liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages such as lost profits or lost orders, and our total liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Termination
Uninstall the app at any time; billing stops with the Shopify billing cycle and your store's data is deleted as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or end service for non-payment or abuse of these terms.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we update this page and the date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
